THE MAKING OF THE LUSIA RING
Hi loves!

I am so excited to finally launch the new Luna Skye Lusia ring!
This particular piece is one that holds a special place with me - so much love went into making this ring that I wanted to share with you the journey. First - the name "Lusia,"  was inspired from a book I was reading a little while back...The Alchemist by Paulo Coelo. The story begins in a small southern area of Spain called Andalusia, where the main character Santiago is from.  This book and story was so inspiring to me in many different ways, that I immediately knew upon reading it that I wanted to create a piece that was inspired by this book. One of the many themes throughout this book is mans spiritual unity with nature and the universe - and that when utilizing this anyone is capable of achieving his or her "Personal Legend," or ultimate desire.
There is such a strong sense that everything in the world is connected by one common language - that nature and other animals can all communicate, and rely on each other. I was so drawn to the idea from the book that, "everything from a grain of sand to god himself shares the same spiritual essence."

I wanted to create and design a piece that reflected these ideas. The structure of the Lusia ring is a bypass, with an open center. Symbolizing the connection between nature and man. I created this ring with the idea that there is always something that we as humans can feel connected to. To me, this is nature but I want whoever wears this ring to use their own connection or whatever it is they feel close to!

Here is a little picture journey into the making of this ring and the stages before it becomes the finished piece!

This is the initial mold or model that comes out. The black marks represent where the diamonds and cut will be for the second stage.

Next is a plain 14kt yellow gold model without diamonds
And last we have the Lusia ring (which can be made in any color gold with white or black diamonds!)
xx
